AAUW in Humboldt County
Members enjoy the opportunity to meet other professional women in our regular meetings and social gatherings geared toward their special interests. Our monthly meetings feature speakers which cover the gamit and include delicious meals or sharing our favorite receipes during a potluck. Special interest activities include two gourment groups, three book groups, five card groups, and a travel, drama, movie and Great Decision group. The Humboldt Branch is also actively involved in supporting the community by providing scholarships to re-entry women, honoring the best female graduate at Eureka Adult School, promoting literacy by providing books to the Humboldt Literacy Project, assisting in the organization of the biannual Expanding Your Horizons Conference for 7th and 8th grade girls and providing funds to Tech Trek, a science and math summer camp.
